Realizing the Truth of My Imposter Syndrome
Seriously… it's been eight months since I got my coaching certification?!
This realization slapped me bright and early Monday morning. During a LinkedIn strategy session with my content coach, I stumbled upon my International Coaching Federation ACC certification announcement. For a moment, pride surged—until I noticed "posted 8 months ago." Eight whole months, and I've yet to announce that I'm accepting coaching clients.

I'd created marketing materials, talked about my certification privately, but publicly? Crickets. It dawned on me—I was hiding. Despite having the credentials, imposter syndrome had me stuck in the shadows.
Facing the Fear and Getting Honest
Awareness was just step one. I accepted that imposter syndrome had me doubting my ability to truly support women entrepreneurs and high-achieving mothers. The fear of disappointing a client I had no prior relationship with kept me silent. Yet, in reality, I effortlessly step into coaching roles all the time, even with strangers. The problem wasn't my capability—it was my fear of selling myself, of feeling vulnerable in public.
Taking Action with the AAHA Method
The AAHA Method—Awareness, Acceptance, Honesty, Action—is my coaching framework, and now it was my lifeline. Once I acknowledged my fear, I embraced honesty about why I was stuck. I got support (thanks, Kya Muckle!) to shift my mindset around sales. Finally, I took action—starting with this blog.
I'm now officially announcing that I'm accepting coaching clients, specifically women entrepreneurs and mothers navigating the complexities of family, business, personal growth, and self-care. My lived experiences uniquely position me to understand and deeply support these incredible women.
Embracing New Beginnings: Doula Certification
And because vulnerability means not hiding behind accomplishments, here's another step into the light: I'm currently in doula training with BADT. Supporting Black mothers through the profound transition of motherhood perfectly aligns with my passion and coaching.
Confidence builds momentum with each step. So, if you're struggling with imposter syndrome or life's challenges, let's talk. I'd love to help you find your clarity and courage.
Cheers to embracing fear, growth, and all the beautiful uncertainty in between.
