From Breaking Point to Breakthrough: A Mother’s Journey of Faith, Rest, and Renewal.

When You’re at the Edge

Last week, I was on the edge.

Tired.

Burnt out.

Overwhelmed.

The kind of tired that seeps into your bones and makes you wonder if you’ve got anything left to give. I wasn’t just thinking about slowing down, I was ready to throw in the towel for a little while.

As mothers, we know that kind of exhaustion well. We keep the house running, keep our children cared for, keep our dreams alive, and keep everyone else afloat all while secretly wondering if we’re about to sink. It’s a mental and emotional load that doesn’t just ask for strength, it demands it, even on days when we’re already running on empty.

But here’s what I’ve learned: the point of breaking can also be the point of breakthrough.

From Breaking Point to Breakthrough

Just when I felt like I had nothing left, God made room for me to step away and breathe.

I attended Woman Evolve and it was everything I didn’t even know I needed and more.

It was a space to simply be .

No title. No to-do list. No little person yelling "mama watch me" while trying to respond to client emails. Just me: open, vulnerable, and ready to be poured into. I could finally lay down the weight I’d been carrying and stand in a room filled with thousands of women, all of us in expectation of what God would do.

And the best part? I was there with my mother. The woman who has been my constant, my covering, and my example of resilience and faith.

A Black mother standing at a women’s faith conference, smiling to herself surrounded by a crowd of women in worship. The image captures a moment of joy, connection, and spiritual renewal, reflecting the blog’s theme of moving from burnout to breakthrough through faith, community, and rest.

There was a moment during worship that I’ll never forget. I closed my eyes and heard the voices of thousands of women crying out to God, and I felt my mother’s hand on my back. She didn’t say a word, but that touch told me, I’m here. I believe with you. You’re going to be okay.

In that moment, the walls I’d been holding up around my heart started to crumble. Tears streamed down my face — not just from the weight I’d been carrying, but from the realization that God was meeting me right there. He was meeting me in the middle of my weariness, just like I had asked Him to.

God Will Meet You Where You Are

If you’ve ever been in a season where you feel like you can’t take another step, I want you to know this: God is there. Even when your prayers feel small. Even when your faith feels thin. Even when you’re crying in your car or in the shower so no one else sees.

Two weeks ago, I was ugly crying on a call with my business coach, feeling like everything was slipping through my fingers. I questioned if I had what it took to keep building Soulcial Therapy, to keep showing up, to keep mothering well in the midst of it all.

But here’s the thing about God. He moves in ways we can’t predict, and He moves fast when the time is right.

From Tears to Triumph

Just 12 days after that tear-filled coaching session, I closed my first 4-figure Soulcial Therapy contract.

For me, it wasn’t just about the number. It was a sign. A clear, undeniable reminder that the same God who sustained me through my lowest moments was the same God who was still making a way for me to thrive.

It was the win I needed to know I could rebuild the financial security I had with my first business, but this time with a business that was even more aligned with who I am and the impact I want to make.

Transformation Isn’t Pretty, But It’s Worth It

This season of my life has taught me that transformation is not glamorous. It is uncomfortable. It is challenging. And yes, sometimes it feels downright disrespectful to your peace.

But on the other side of every transformation I’ve ever been through, there has been something better: a deeper faith, a stronger spirit, a life more aligned with who God created me to be.

If you’re feeling like you can’t take another step, I want you to know that you are not alone. These are the moments when God is carrying you. Even if you can’t see it yet, there’s a breakthrough on the other side of this.

An Invitation to Keep Going

Sis, don’t throw in the towel just yet.Don’t quit on yourself. Don’t stop believing that God can turn it around in an instant.

I believe in divine connections and in the power of having a community that sees you, supports you, and stands with you through the hard seasons. That’s exactly what I created Soulcial Therapy was created for. To be a sanctuary for women who need both a place to rest and a space to rise.

If you’ve been looking for a sisterhood that understands the weight you carry, the faith you cling to, and the dreams you refuse to let go of, I’d love for you to join us.

You don’t have to do this alone. We’re here.

From my heart to yours, I’m praying that you find your space to simply be. That you find your people to walk alongside you, and your faith to believe that the best is still ahead.

Light & Love Always,
