Grace, Growth, & Gratitude!

Reflecting on a Transformational First Quarter

Q1 has truly been a beautiful whirlwind of growth, rest, and intentional alignment. When January arrived, I deliberately chose a path less traveled—no detailed goal setting, no meticulous strategic planning, just pure intention. My focus was clear: cultivate intentional rest, embrace motherhood fully, and nurture the rhythms of home.

Embracing Rest and Motherhood

Setting new routines for myself and my son was my top priority, and let's just say establishing nap and bedtime routines was a game changer—praise the Lord! Creating intentional pockets of rest has significantly transformed our days.

Having clear boundaries around my work hours allowed me to embrace mindful presence more consistently. I find myself setting my phone down more, savoring life's sweet moments fully.

Growth and Gratitude

January also marked the start of my first 40-day fast with Alfred Street Baptist Church, my beloved church home from my grad school days at George Washington University. This sacred time brought clarity and surrender in ways I'd never experienced before. And just five days after completing the first fast, I stepped boldly into a second 40 day fast. This time with my current home church, Change Church.

The spiritual expansion I've experienced, under the leadership of Dharius Daniels, continues to make itself evident in my life. Although living in a manna season has its uncertainties, I've never been clearer in my faith. Even when the path ahead isn't visible, God always makes a way!

Opportunities Aligned in February

With that soulful reset, February swept in gracefully, bringing beautiful new opportunities perfectly aligned with my intention for growth and visibility. My heart filled with gratitude as opportunities found me effortlessly.

I participated in Papa John’s Black History Month Vendor Marketplace (thanks to my bestie Verity's thoughtful connection). This reminded me deeply about the real meaning of sisterhood: beyond brunches and cocktails, sisterhood is about genuinely cheering each other on, creating opportunities, and celebrating each other's victories as our own.

Next was Ground + Sound Galentine’s Edition at El Patio Pop-Up, followed by the honor of speaking and vending at HER SparKHX Vision and Brunch. Hot-seat coaching VIP guests, including a therapist who expressed gratitude for being deeply seen and supported, was a powerful affirmation for more. Moments like these remind me of the purpose behind obtaining my ICF coaching certification—it's time we all proudly own our gifts and toot our own horns!

Engaging with Community

I am currently serving as the Director of Communications for ACTS Global Inc., my first board position. We had our first meeting of the year, a milestone moment for me and the organization as they embark on their 10th year of service.

Stepping into leadership with a nonprofit that beautifully integrates financial literacy and mental health support reinforces my commitment to holistic wellness and meaningful community impact.

March carried the momentum forward with two inspiring conferences—the Bawse Mom Summit and the Women in Business Networking Conference. I was able to connect with like-minded women who offered inspiration, validation, and motivation.

Celebrating Sisterhood

The Single Mom Soulstice was another heart-expanding gathering, providing a much-needed sacred space for single moms to share, reflect, and release. I partnered with Nyarai Waistbeads. The beautiful studio served as the perfect container for healing and connection among the women present.

The month closed with Rest & Renew, a soul-nourishing experience. The highlight of the event was partnering with Harmonna and Herbally Infused to support women—particularly Black women—teetering on the edge of burnout. Through somatic practices, sound healing, grounding affirmations, and a nourishing tea ceremony, we poured deeply into each other during this sold out event. If you missed out make sure you join for Rest & Renew II on May 18th.

My voice found further expression through Atlanta Habitat’s Boss Talk Series. I represented both LaunchPad and Soulcial Therapy. This opportunity lead directly to new client connections and acquisition.

The month ended cheering on my momstie (mom friend/bestie😊) Brittnee at her panel debut with Black Women in Weddings. Watching her shine as she represented her business Beauty By Bee reminded me profoundly of the power of showing up genuinely for the ones who consistently show up for us.

Growth and gratitude perfectly reflecting my feelings regarding Q1. My heart is filled with immense joy—personally, professionally, and spiritually. I am deeply excited for what's next, embracing every lesson and celebrating each moment of growth along the way. Here's to continued alignment, abundant opportunities, and soul-deep connections in the months ahead!
