For Black women, rest is not just a luxury—it is a necessity. Studies show that Black women experience higher cortisol levels than other groups, a direct result of chronic stress. This elevation impacts our physical and emotional well-being, leading to conditions such as hypertension, fatigue, and burnout.

Talk therapy alone is not enough. While it offers space to process, our bodies also require somatic healing—the kind that regulates the nervous system, releases tension, and restores balance. This is where Rest & Renew comes in.
